Why Choose a Custom Picture Framer?

Choosing a custom picture framer can offer many benefits over opting for a pre-made frame or a mass-produced framing service. Here are some reasons why: Personalization: Custom picture framing allows you to create a unique frame that reflects your personal style and complements the artwork or photograph being framed. You can choose from a wide range of materials, colors, and finishes to create a frame that is tailored to your specific needs and preferences. Quality: Custom picture framers use high-quality materials and techniques to ensure that your artwork is properly protected and preserved. They can provide guidance on the best type of matting, mounting, and glazing to use for your specific piece, as well as ensuring that the frame itself is constructed to last. Preservation: Custom picture framers have knowledge of preservation techniques that can help protect your artwork from damage caused by environmental factors such as light, humidity, and temperature. You Name It, We Frame It

We have been known to frame some pretty unusual things over the past 20 years! If you haven’t thought about it, framing isn’t just for pictures. You can bring in all kinds of treasures and we will transform them into one-of-a-kind works of art for your walls. Just consider the items you may already have that could easily be turned into art – grandma’s favorite mittens, dad’s fishing items, that sand dollar you picked up at the beach or your first report card from school. It is fun to have those special keepsakes on display where you can see and enjoy them. See below for some framing ideas!

Framing Sports Jerseys

Sporting memorabilia is fun to have on display. Whether your favorite sports star is a professional or in little league, framing a jersey is a great way to remember a winning season or special game. There are various ways we can frame these types of items. Showing the entire jersey looks great, but if you don’t have the space for it, we can also fold it to show a smaller portion. Either way, it will look dynamic and add excitement to a space!

We Framed What?

What can we frame? How about coffee bags with some snazzy artwork on them? These two coffee bags were framed in an 11″x14″ readymade frame. They were float mounted on a suede mat (in stock 11×14 mat) and the top mat was raised about a half an inch to raise the glass away from the coffee bags. Note the walls under the top mat, gorgeous! How much did this beautiful piece cost? Less than $75!   The top mat was raised up about 1/2″ to keep the glass off the artwork and create a shadowbox effect. Note the suede bottom mat is duplicated under the top mat for the “walls”

Album Framing

Framing special albums are a great way to display them and be able to show them off. We had fun framing this album using the Komodo Red 1.5″ frame from Larson Juhl.  It’s highly polished lacquer with subtle textures and rubbed edges worked perfectly for this design.   Working from the bottom up, the album is floated on a red suede mat and complemented then with a black linen mat.  We added a Larson Juhl Goya black beaded fillet then a golden top mat.
